Deana Williams

Deana Williams (she/her/hers) is a quirky queer writer and director who makes films that explore relationship dynamics, highlighting experiences that help people feel less alone in the world. She studied film at The Art Institute’s Miami International University of Art & Design. While in Miami, Deana worked as a manager for the Film Equipment Room at Miami Dade College’s School of Entertainment & Design Technology while also teaching camera and lighting at the Florida Film Institute. Deana has written, produced and directed award winning short films such as Tracks and Torn that have been selected in over 20 film festivals.

Deana is also the co-creator of Name Dropping, the frustratingly fun movie card game. She resides in Los Angeles, California.
